I haven’t seen the actual episodes yet, just saw it online but I’m disappointed. There is another scene where you see another woman topless while working. You see and man and woman in undies performing sexually for a solider, the woman is topless and you see a lot of her, it’s very sexualised content. There is nudity, from season 3 it changes and becomes quite graphic and heavily sexual. It’s very political and might require someone who can keep up or understand to watch it, so I imagine younger teens wouldn’t be interested. You see people being blown up, gunned down, executed by a shot to the head and dead bodies, war scenes. It’s equal between men and women as well. But it might be a bit scary or shocking for kids if they haven’t seen anything like this before. There is lot’s of violence, it’s very harsh, direct and realistic, so not gorey. The show portrays realistic and complex characters, which just makes the show so much better and has the characters earning your endearment or liking toward them instead of telling you who you like and who are the bad guys. I didn’t think I’d be interested but I was wrong. It’s a great show, very well written so far and the acting has been amazing - especially in its subtly. "(people of a certain faith) In my case, younger kids might not get the hidden message and older kids might read too much into it. There is ominous nature of deeds being done, that come across through character dialog. For example a cop in Ohio exclaims to the protagonist, "On Thursdays they burn. However those are not significant and more of fleeting side show. This would preclude kids below 13-14 Year age.įrom Rating point of view, there is nudity and sex scenes. Otherwise the whole thing would come across as freedom struggle of persecuted people. Although not mandatory, it will certainly help. The plot does expect maturity from the audience and some knowledge of WWII era history. This is one notable example where it was a commercial success.
